After a successful Kickstarter campaign, Into the Echo is finally ready for its players. The game’s alpha signup period has just started, so if you’re interested in playing, now is your chance to get in on the ground floor.
We examined Into the Echo, a freshly released time-travel MMORPG, back in August. The game is described as having “traditional mechanics of resource collection, crafting, puzzle-solving, and combat to build next generation social experiences,” as well as “a launching pad for next generation social interactions where each player has a unique identity and purpose that makes them want to inhabit the universe rather than just experience it,” according to ETLOK Studios of Canada. The game seemed to be very ambitious at the time, but we hadn’t seen any launch plans or even a playable video.
Perhaps the studio heard our cries, since they released a teaser film this week with what seems to be in-game footage, although short. Signups for a pre-alpha are also now open, but it’s unclear when it will be or what you’ll be testing.
“ETLOK Studios is excited to share the first look at their unique MMORPG Into the Echo with you, and invites you to participate in a round of Pre-Alpha testing. The traditional mechanics of resource collection, crafting, puzzle-solving, and combat are being used in Into The Echo to create next-generation social experiences, giving players the opportunity to build their reputation and discover their own unique purpose in this beautifully realized shared world. Into the Echo will offer an MMO experience unlike any other, with a long-term focus, a unique advancement system, and a dedication to mental health.”
