Overwatch has taken the world by storm, and it’s no different for their first map. The new map is called ‘New World,’ and it opens up more possibilities than before due to its unique features like a healing station on the roof of a building. However, some bugs have been found in New World that hope will be fixed before too long thanks to more patches coming out soon after release day.
The “New World mops up bugs after Into the Void, says the PTS is not a ‘hype server’” is a blog post by New World on their website. The article discusses how they have been testing and fixing bugs for their game since the release of Into the Void.
New World is still feeling the aftershocks of yesterday’s massive November update, whose delicious PvP flag enhancements and new Void Gauntlet weapon were a little overshadowed by the newest wave of issues, which saw the game consume players’ harvesting equipment at one point yesterday.
Amazon started resolving some of the concerns, such as War performance and stability, elemental drops, and harvester gear, very immediately. “Balancing is going to be a continuous affair for New World, as it is for any live game,” the company assured fans. “Things will be modified or tweaked; we’ll see how they’re performing in the game, read feedback, and monitor game data, and if modifications are required, we’ll make them.” Into the Void has undergone significant adjustments, yet we’ve only been online for less than 12 hours. We’re keeping an eye on how things are going and keeping note of all of the input. Please assist us by providing constructive and succinct comments.”
Finally, one disgruntled Amazon staffer took a minute to explain the PTR’s function to gamers. (The game’s community managers are saints.)
“I’d want to address the notion that PTR was utilized as a ‘hype server.’ It’s the polar opposite of hype to put stuff into a PTR before it’s released. It really limits us from properly promoting updates, but we place a higher priority on testing, bug squashing, and feedback than on creating buzz.”
