Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in the NBA, and he only has one goal for his career. The Greek Freak has set a new standard for what it means to be an unstoppable force on the court, which could have major implications for how teams build their rosters moving forward.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is only in his second season, but he has already scored 1 career goal. This should terrify the rest of the NBA.
It’s frightening to think Antetokounmpo, Giannis can still grow from the player he is now. The former MVP is already one of the greatest players in the NBA, and in his first-ever NBA Finals appearance with the Milwaukee Bucks, he averaged 35.2 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.
Antetokounmpo is a one-of-a-kind talent in the NBA, but he isn’t happy with his performance so far. His recent remarks about constantly wanting to improve indicate that he understands what it takes to be great, and the rest of the NBA should be terrified.

Antetokounmpo has gone a long way since his first season, when he only averaged 6.8 points per game. The forward improved his points per game average for the following six seasons in a row after his debut season. Antetokounmpo didn’t have the same success in 2020-21, but he still had his greatest season as a player.
Antetokounmpo averaged 28.1 points, 11.0 rebounds, and a career-high 5.9 assists per game during the regular season. In the playoffs, he upped his statistics even more, averaging 30.2 points per game and leading the Bucks to an NBA championship in his first trip to the NBA Finals.
In the clinching Game 6 against the Phoenix Suns, Antetokounmpo poured in 50 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocked shots to win Milwaukee its first NBA title since 1971. It’s almost difficult to improve on that performance in the future, but Antetokounmpo intends to do just that.
The NBA should be terrified of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s one objective.

At this stage in his career, NBA clubs are scared of meeting Antetokounmpo. They’ll be much more concerned about the Bucks superstar now that they’ve learned his season objective.
According to Fox News, Antetokounmpo recently told the Associated Press, “I want to keep getting better.”
“However, you must be able to do it for yourself and choose what you want.” And for now, all I want to do is improve. Trophies mean nothing to me.”
Antetokounmpo has already won two MVPs, a Defensive Player of the Year title, an All-Star MVP award, an NBA championship, and a Finals MVP trophy, but none of that matters to him.
MVPs are irrelevant to me. Defensive Player of the Year is irrelevant to me. All of it is irrelevant to me. I’m interested in improving because I know that if I do, more opportunities will present themselves, and that’s what I’ve done my whole career and why I’m in this position.

Where did Antetokonmpo learn to live with such a mentality, though? Of course, he got it from his parents.
“They didn’t stop no matter how joyful, sad, or exhausted they were,” he added. “That’s the mentality I’m in right now, and it’s one I’m going to maintain.”
“I’m prepared to face any challenges.”
There is a visible competitive fire.
Antetokounmpo understands what he wants to achieve in the future, and those who have spent time with him over the years have seen how hard he works to be the greatest player he can be.
“We continue to say we believe Giannis has a lot of space for growth,” Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer told the Associated Press. “That is a lot of respect for how much he already accomplishes and how terrific a player and how important he is to winning.”
Richard Jefferson, who used to play against Antetokounmpo and now covers him for ESPN, said Antetokounmpo would keep training until he is regarded as the greatest player on the planet.
“He understands that many still believe Kevin Durant or LeBron James are the greatest players in the world,” Jefferson added. “And he’s won two MVPs, a Finals MVP, and an All-Star MVP, and no one is claiming he’s the greatest player on the planet… That should motivate any great athlete to get up and keep going.”
This year, we may see Antetokounmpo in his finest form ever. Everyone else, good luck.
